The quick answer

The easiest way to stay consistent on Zepbound is a dedicated tracker. DoseDash reminds you on your weekly dose day, tracks your titration from 2.5 mg up, logs injection sites and side effects, and keeps weight and nutrition trends in one view — free on iPhone.

How DoseDash helps with Zepbound

  • Dose-day countdown and weekly reminders
  • Side-effect trends across your titration steps
  • Weight chart with trend smoothing and milestone celebrations
  • Protein, fiber and hydration goals to keep nutrition on track

What if you miss a Zepbound dose?

Per the official prescribing information: take a missed Zepbound dose as soon as possible within 4 days (96 hours). If more than 4 days have passed, skip it and take your next dose on your regular day. Never take two doses within 3 days of each other — and loop in your prescriber if you're unsure.

2.5 mgWeeks 1–4 (starter dose)
5 mgWeeks 5–8

Taking Zepbound: the basics

  • Injected under the skin in the abdomen, thigh or upper arm
  • Rotate injection sites with each weekly dose
  • Same day each week, any time, with or without food
  • Store pens in the fridge per the label

Start tracking Zepbound in 3 steps

  1. 1Download DoseDash free on the App Store and pick Zepbound from 30+ supported GLP-1 medications.
  2. 2Set your dose day and current dose — reminders and the level chart configure themselves.
  3. 3Log each dose in one tap, add side effects and meals as they happen, and watch your trends build within the first week.

Why not just use a notes app?

Notes capture what happened; a tracker shows what it means. Where a note says “injected Tuesday, felt queasy Thursday,” DoseDash charts the estimated tirzepatide level between doses, lines your side effects up against it, reminds you before your next dose is due, and turns months of entries into a report your care team can read in seconds.

Zepbound tracking FAQ

Is there a free app to track Zepbound?

Yes. DoseDash is free on the App Store with dose logging, reminders, side-effect tracking and progress charts built in.

What if I miss my Zepbound dose?

Take it within 4 days (96 hours) of the missed dose; otherwise skip and resume your schedule. DoseDash's last-dose timer tells you instantly which side of the window you're on.

What's the difference between Zepbound and Mounjaro for tracking?

They're both tirzepatide with identical weekly schedules — Zepbound is approved for weight management, Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes. In DoseDash you can switch between them and keep your entire history.

How fast will I lose weight on Zepbound?

That varies widely by dose and person — which is exactly why a smoothed trend line beats day-to-day scale readings. DoseDash charts your weight trend, velocity and milestones without judgment. Your care team interprets what the numbers mean for you.

Should I track anything besides doses on Zepbound?

Side effects, protein, fiber, water and weight give the clearest picture. DoseDash logs each in seconds and its insights connect them to your dose schedule.

Can I export my Zepbound history for my doctor?

Yes — generate a clean PDF report of doses, side effects and trends from the app to bring to appointments.
